To address the issue, a vegetarian, Lisa Pollack, weighs in to include her input on clean meat. Since it was first implemented in Memphis Meats, it got her and her boyfriend thinking if they were willing to try it out. They casually ask each other the same question, and the author obviously says no because she does not usually consume meat, so she wouldn’t be able flip completely and start eating often. After all, she did choose to be vegetarian, and her tastes have adapted to her preferred diet. Likewise, she states, “Portobello mushrooms and some veggie sausages are already too meaty for me” (2).             After answering this question for herself, she wondered what others would think, hence wondering if others would agree with her. Lede 1 Meat is essentially everywhere, even in places you wouldn’t have thought of. Heck, when you peruse a restaurant’s menu, almost every item has some type of meat in it – chicken, beef, pork, you name it. When was the last time you saw a place that serves purely vegetarian food? If so, how successful and well-known would it be? The majority of restaurant chains are nonvegetarian, so they can attract more customers, instead of appealing only to a selective group. Likewise, how many of the people you know eat meat versus the people who don’t? Meat makes up a huge part of a diet and if most of us go without it, our main source of protein would be lost. It is an integral component of each meal we consume despite the expansive array of foods available. However, there is a downside to eating meat.
